Some Important Anti-Aging Secrets

There are more anti-aging agents in the world than we can dream of. They are all around us in the form of fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs. The evidence comes from institutions like Harvard, Stanford and the University of California. They have documented the potent powers of some natural substances, which prevent deterioration that comes with age.

Brain degeneration, declining immune system, cancer and heart disease are all manifestations of age. So here are a few anti-aging secrets from mother nature's treasure trove, which will not only help us slow down the aging process but also keep disease at bay.

1. Say no to oily stuff and consume less oil. Excessive fat intake increases free radical activity. So avoid snacking on oily and deep fried snacks, french fries, fried savories, etc. The free radicals produced after consuming such tidbits are in excess of what the body can normally diffuse and cause aging.

2. Switch to green tea as it is packed with antioxidants that will slow down your aging process.

3. Ban sugar and refined flour from your kitchen. It will help you in the long run.

4. The label on the pack of cigarettes warns, "smoking is injurious to health" Take it seriously.

5. Eat in Moderation. Eating and drinking in excess is harmful. If you are eating 3 large meals a day, cut it down to 5 smaller meals. It is also a good strategy if you want to loose some extra pound.

6. Eat lots of fruits. When you consume fresh fruits they flush out toxins, fight carcinogens, lower cholesterol and boost immunity, they have anti-aging and antioxidant properties that contributes to slow aging process.

7. Keep in touch with your family and friends. Being loved and having a sense of belonging works as a shock absorber and helps rev up immunity.

8. Maintain a positive outlook. Do what really makes you happy because it contributes to inner peace and longevity.
