Healthy Diet Food Tips For 30 Plus


Research shows that the said age group has the highest smoking rate and obesity rate. Also, men and women who are in this age group have low rates of physical activity and intake of fruits and vegetables thus making them susceptible to heart disease, cancer, diabetes and lung cancer.

Recommended diet for young adults include:

1. Eat three meals daily with variety of foods within the basic food groups.

* milk products found in milk, cheese, yogurt, and ice cream
* meat/eggs such as red meats, poultry, fish, and eggs
* grains including breads, cereals, rice, pasta, and so forth
* fruits/vegetables that may be consumed as solids or juices.

2. Minimize the amount of fat in the diet.

3 Increase intake of fruits, vegetables, and grains in the diet.

4. Take adequate amount of iron in the diet.

5. Minimize or totally avoid excessive salts.

6. Avoid excessive sugars.
