Benefits of Supine Sleep Meditation
This deformity is purely an acquired deformity and takes a long span of time to develop. So it takes a long time for correction as well. Supine sleep meditation is the most effective treatment for curing this. Supine sleep will appear to be very difficult to the person because the person is in a habit to sleep by the side so meditation prior to sleep will help the person to fall asleep at the earliest and to divert the attention from sleeping posture.
Moreover nervousness, fear, anxiety, tension .will be driven off through meditation during bed time. Method is very simple. Put a very thin pillow under the head. Lie on the bed so that whole of back, shoulders, heels, elbows, etc. properly placed on the bed. Face upward and start long, slow and deep breathing. Focus both the eyes on the midpoint of the forehead between the eyebrows. Try to see or visualize your favorite scene/picture or flower, deity/idol on your mental plate. Pleasurable movements can also be concentrated upon or good memories can be recaptured. This act will become an act of bed time meditation in supine position and help to get sleep faster.
This if practiced at least for 15 days will make the person habitual of supine sleeping. A few months of supine sleep will correct the rounded shoulder deformity for ever. This in turn will improve the vision as well.
