3 signs your marriage is headed for disaster

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL -- As times change and technology advances, lost in the shuffle is love.

Technology is taking us on a new path in our lives from the way we talk to the way we interact. There's a different world at our fingertips and it's changing the way of love.

A recent online study discovered that 50 percent of people who use the internet actually browse to see if they can find a former love," says Linda Lipshutz, a marriage and family therapist.

When you think how many people join Facebook and the social networking phenomenon, it's certainly possible the next click could send you into trouble and when loves gets messy Charles Jamieson comes in to mop it up.

The 30 year board certified divorce attorney has sat through his share of affairs and arguments over assets. He knows a thing or two about why love hurts and he's got a formula for when love is falling apart.

"The danger signs all boil down to three simple initials, F-T-S, financial issues, time and sex,"
he says.

First financial issues: Is your spouse on a downward track at work, falling further into debt? Are unusual financial expenses occurring like implants or lipo?

"They may be getting themselves set up to go back on the market so to speak," Jamieson says.

Next up, time according to Jamieson. Has there been a change in your spouse’s balance of time professionally and personally? This is where social networking comes into play.
"People are becoming a computer widower or computer widow. Your spouse starts spending more and more time on the internet," according to Jamieson.

Jamieson's third sign: Sex or the lack thereof in relationships. Whether it's the worst of social networking when the old flame on Facebook comes calling, the financial situation is falling or sexual problems are growing, these are the signs that Jamieson says can be a formula for a marital mess.
