What Causes Scrotal Swelling?

Scrotal swelling is also known as Testicular enlargement. It is an abnormal enlargement of the scrotum, the sac surrounding the testicles. It occurs in males at any age. Swelling can be on one or both sides, and there may be pain. The penis and testicles may or may not be involved.

Scrotal swelling should be examined by a doctor, even if a person is not experiencing pain or other symptoms. A scrotal swelling may be indicative of a cancerous tumor or another condition that affects the function and health of the testicles.
