Great Tips to Plan a Stress Free Family Vacation
Planning a summer holiday can be stressful. Where to go? Is it a fun place for kids? Where do we stay? How expensive is it going to be? Lot's of questions and very little time. Relax, holidays are supposed to be fun; expect the unexpected and you will have unforgettable memories. To help you get through a stress free family vacation here are some pointers.
Destination unknown: There are several things to keep in mind; destinations can be divided as per historical importance, adventure sports, nature, nightlife, amusement park, etc. Take everyone’s opinion into account, it’s no fun if one person is mopping. Plus, you don’t want a wailing child on an arduous trek.
Book early: There are two reasons for booking early: cheaper rates and you are assured of getting the luxurious villa by the sea. Added bonus, there are hotels that offer discounts to early birds.
Itinerary: We hate rules and even worse when you’re on a vacation. Therefore, itineraries should be flexible. You could select the places you would like to see and the food you want to try out. But don’t get worked up if your kids want to spend extra time in the hotel arcade, you can always indulge in a relaxing spa.
Steal a Romantic night: Arrange for the kids to spend time at the day care or with the nanny. As a couple you need to spend time together and re-connect with each other. Plan a romantic dinner for two or a day out by yourselves. It'll help you return to your regular life as a refreshed and loving couple.
Planning tips: Select the best way to travel, motion sickness, nausea, vertigo and drop in pressure at the beginning of a trip can ruin your mood. Also account for jet lag, you're there to relax and enjoy. If you're going out of the country, it's best to travel with some local currency than depending on credit cards alone. Read about the culture to avoid any embarrassing moments. Also, talk to people who have already been to these places.
