It is being reported that Paraguayan President Fernando Lugo has been diagnosed with cancer.
This marks the second time that the Prez has been diagnosed with the disease, but his doctors say that his prognosis is very good.
A biopsy of a growth removed from the groin of Lugo confirmed that he has a type of blood cancer known as non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which is treatable if caught early enough.
Pathologist Jose Bellasai said that “the president’s illness, unlike other cancers, has an excellent prognosis.”
Lugo will continue performing all of his duties as President while undergoing chemotherapy.
